IR1 spousal visa
The IR1 visa, is an immigrant visa issued to an alien who has been married to a U.S. citizen or permanent resident for 2 years or more and is seeking to live in the U.S. with their spouse. This visa provides the permanent resident status to the foreign spouse without the need to adjust their status.

Overview
What is the IR1 visa?
The IR1 visa is for people who are seeking to reside in the US with their Permanent Resident or US citizen spouses. The main distinguisher of this Immigrant Visa is that it is reserved for couples who have been married for 2 years or longer.
All couples who are genuinely married hope to obtain the IR1 unconditional visa because it makes the foreign partner a permanent resident of the United States.
The IR1 visa is valid for ten years.
IR1 visa processing time
The processing time for the IR1 visa applications is subjectively lower than the time for other visa options. This is because there is no cap system as to how many applicants are considered for a particular time period. However, the processing time for this visa can range from a period of time of 8 to 10 months from start to finish to complete.
